About Us

Welcome to GramaRecipe.com

Hi, I’m Chris Cryer — and I’m so glad you found your way here.

GramaRecipe.com is a place built on warmth, tradition, and the kind of cooking that fills a house with the best smells you’ve ever experienced. The name says it all. These are the recipes that grandmothers have been making for generations — passed down through worn index cards, handwritten notebooks, and loving memories at the kitchen table.

My mission is simple: to preserve those timeless recipes and share them with home cooks everywhere, so that the flavors of the past can be enjoyed at tables all around the world — today, and for generations to come.

The Story Behind GramaRecipe.com

Every great recipe has a story. For me, it started with my own grandmother’s kitchen — a place that smelled of cinnamon rolls on Sunday mornings and slow-simmered tomato sauce on Sunday afternoons. She never measured anything. She cooked by feel, by memory, and by love.

When she passed, I realized that so much of what she knew lived only in the minds and hands of people who would not be with us forever. That thought troubled me deeply. So I started writing things down — recreating her dishes, calling aunts and cousins to track down lost recipes, and documenting every detail I could. GramaRecipe.com grew from that effort.

My Promise

I treat every recipe on GramaRecipe.com with the same respect and care that grandmothers put into them originally. I test each one multiple times. I write instructions that are clear, patient, and encouraging. And I always share the story behind the dish — because a recipe without its story is just a list of ingredients.
