Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. Line the pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Combine Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined. Beat in the large egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool and Serve
- Let the blondies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra chewiness, underbake slightly. You can substitute chocolate chips with other mix-ins like white chocolate, toffee bits, or dried fruit.
