Ingredients

Dough
  • 2 cups flour
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
Toppings
  • 0.5 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup pepperoni sliced

Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • pizza stone or baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Method

Prepare the Dough
  1. Combine flour, water, and yeast in a bowl and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Assemble the Pizza
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a 12-inch circle.
  2. Carefully transfer the dough to parchment paper. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Top with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
Bake and Serve
  1. Slide the pizza with the parchment paper onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  2. Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For a crispier crust, ensure your oven is fully preheated and the pizza stone is very hot. You can customize toppings to your liking!
