Preparation

- Gradually add the milk, mixing until just combined and a soft dough forms.
Baking
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it to about 1-inch thickness; avoid overworking the dough.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or knife, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top and cooked through.
Notes
For extra flaky biscuits, make sure your butter is very cold. Do not overmix the dough, as this can lead to tough biscuits. Serve warm with butter, jam, or gravy.
