Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 1.5-quart casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper; stir well to mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Baking
  1. Stir in 2/3 cup of the fried onions into the green bean mixture, then pour the entire mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
  2. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of fried onions evenly over the top.
  3. Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

Notes
