- Gradually add the cold buttermilk, mixing gently until a shaggy dough forms.
Forming and Baking
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it to about 1-inch thickness.
- Use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out seven biscuits, re-rolling scraps as needed.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, then brush the tops with melted butter.
