Preparation
- First, prepare the peach simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup peach slices in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely; then, remove it from the heat and let it cool.
- Next, in a blender, combine the 4 medium ripe peaches, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and the cooled peach simple syrup. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- After blending, strain the peach mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp, using the back of a spoon to press out all the liquid.
- Finally, add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher with the strained peach mixture and stir thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.
Serving
- To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour in the peach lemonade.
- For Hack 2, garnish each glass with a few fresh mint leaves for an added burst of freshness.
- For Hack 3, if desired, add about 1/4 cup of sparkling water to each glass before serving to make it a sparkling peach lemonade.
Notes
For an even richer peach flavor, use slightly overripe peaches. Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking, especially if your peaches are very sweet or tart. This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container.
