- Chop the head of cabbage into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, then remove and crumble, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the bacon drippings and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, stirring to combine with the onions and garlic. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender-crisp.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat, then gently stir in the crumbled bacon. Serve immediately and enjoy your perfectly fried cabbage.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic. You can also substitute regular vinegar for apple cider vinegar if needed.
