  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced for garnish
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked beef and stir to combine.
  4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the beef.
  5. Serve the Korean beef over hot cooked rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra veggies, you can add shredded carrots or bell peppers to the beef mixture during the last few minutes of cooking.
