Preparation
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to create the seasoning rub.
- Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken breast. Ensure the chicken is fully coated for maximum flavor.
Grilling
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent the chicken from sticking.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the hot grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
Resting and Serving
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender and moist chicken. Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours before grilling. Adjust seasoning to your preference, adding chili powder for a spicy kick or oregano for an herbaceous note.
