Growing the Plants
- Fill two planters with potting soil, leaving an inch of space from the rim for proper watering and growth.
- Plant spinach seeds in one planter according to packet directions, and then plant the small artichoke plant in the other planter.
- Water both plants regularly, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged, and place them in a location with plenty of sunlight.
Making the Dip (Once Plants are Grown)
- Once your spinach and artichoke are harvested, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), then combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until well blended.
- Stir in the chopped spinach and artichoke hearts, ensuring they are evenly distributed, then transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown on top, then serve with your favorite chips or bread.
Notes
For faster growth, consider using a grow light for your plants. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the dip for a little kick.
