Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Form and Bake
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Rest and Serve
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more tender result.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of dried thyme or oregano to the meatloaf mixture. You can also customize the glaze with a dash of hot sauce for a little kick.
