  • 1/4 cup Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil plus extra for serving
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin (ground)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2-4 tbsp Cold Water as needed for consistency

Preparation
  1. In a food processor, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ground cumin, and salt.
  2. Process the ingredients until smooth, gradually adding cold water one tablespoon at a time until your desired consistency is reached.
Serving
  1. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with a little extra olive oil, and garnish with paprika and fresh parsley if desired.
  2. Serve immediately with pita bread, vegetables, or your favorite crackers.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can roast the garlic before adding it to the food processor. Adjust the amount of lemon juice and salt to your taste preferences. Enjoy your fresh homemade hummus!
