Preparation
- Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, and cornstarch; set aside.
Cooking
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet, then add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Stir in minced ginger and garlic, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to combine, then serve immediately with rice if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the beef in a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of sesame oil for 15 minutes before cooking.
