Tuna Casserole

This classic tuna casserole is a comforting and easy-to-make dish, perfect for a quick weeknight meal. It features tender pasta, flaky tuna, and a creamy sauce, all baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups egg noodles uncooked
  • 2 (5 oz) cans canned tuna drained
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed potato chips for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente, then drain them well.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and frozen peas.
Baking
  1. Stir in 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese into the noodle mixture.
  2. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven, sprinkle with crushed potato chips, and bake for another 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let the casserole stand for a few minutes before serving hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the mixture. Feel free to customize with other vegetables like diced carrots or corn.
