- Add the cooked and shredded chicken breast, rinsed and drained great northern beans, chicken broth, and diced green chilies to the pot.
- Stir in the cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
- Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Ladle the white chicken chili into bowls and garnish with a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of your favorite hot sauce. This chili can be made ahead of time and reheats well. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
